COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY IN CARLISLE, Cumbria & online

About

Hello, I’m Kam, a qualified therapist for both children and adults, and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

My background is working with children, young people and their parents/carers with extensive experience with Adoption Services, Youth Offending Services and Children's Services. In my private practice today, I work with children and adults alike, from all backgrounds, including the Polish community.

As a trained person-centred therapist, I also integrate other modalities into my private practice, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Polyvagal Theory, Existential Therapy, as well as mindfulness and breathing techniques - the brain and body operate as one and psychoeducation is integrated into my private practice.

I aim to make clients feel safe enough to open up their most vulnerable parts - the hardest to access areas, where healing can begin within the therapeutic journey of self-discovery. I equip my clients with the toolkit, resources and skills to be able to practice and manage everyday life.

My therapeutic work is my passion and life purpose; as an authentic, compassionate, empathic and grounded practitioner in helping others understand their inner struggles and how to grow from within.

Get in touch

Step 1: Leave a telephone message, text or message via email. I will arrange a convenient time to meet in person, online or via telephone. We then have a FREE 10-minute informal conversation.

Step 2: If you feel comfortable proceeding further, we can book an initial 30-minute consultation for £20.00.

Step 3: If we both feel we are a ‘good fit’ to continue, we can book your first full counselling session, which lasts 60 minutes, and discuss the contract and your goals for therapy. We then book each new session at the end of each appointment. After six sessions, we review your progress.
